The Dutch Heritage Museum houses a unique and cohesive display on the Dutch colonial influence in Guyana which are not accessible to many Guyanese. The display includes bottles; crockery; and other materials (furnishings and décor) of the Dutch colonial period; beads used for trade with the Indigenous people of Guyana; antique prints and maps of the Dutch colonial era of Essequibo, Demerara and Berbice; flags, seals, insignias of the Dutch West India Company; plans, illustrations, etchings of Dutch Forts in Guyana and many more.
